This is one of my favorite combinations as it works great on almost all cellos. The Permanent G added sounds like a played-in Spirocore G. Spircore G strings can be very harsh sounding and not balanced with the set so changing it out to a Permanent G helps balance to cello. The Permanent G is a thinner gauge so it can also help reduce a wolf note.
