Description Measurements   Cello by Master Luthier Maciej Wojciechowski Guadagnini model, Nowy Targ Poland 2009 Professional level Instrument. Very responsive!  This is a sweet, refined sounding cello. It has a strong, dark and complex sounding voice. The texture, volume and tonal color is very well balanced, which allows for seamless string crossings. This particular cello is designed after the more compact  pattern of a Guadagnini  so the body pattern is slightly smaller (back length 29"). It still has the same stop length (27") The body size doesn't restrict the tone what-so-ever. It has good volume and a very full sound. The proportions are perhaps better suited for the small to average size cellist who perhaps isn't a perfect fit in the larger patterns or someone who wants a more comfortable cello they don't have to wrestle around. The maker, Wojciechowski, is very creative so his cellos are his personal variations of the models he is inspired by. He is a true artist and I know once word is out and folks discover this label, the prices will climb like Jan Szlachtowski's have.. This is built by one master Luthier, not a workshop. It is a extremely easy cello to play and very alive. If your having to work hard and may be experiencing bow arm or hand pain this cello can help. It won't require as much bow weight and strength to get the dynamic range that some other cellos require. This Wojeichowski cello possesses lush tonal colors and it has such a nice compact body with round high arching.  The smaller pattern is easy to maneuver around when shifting into thumb position. It is very generous and allows for the most tender interludes to the most aggressive attacks. Put on your seat belt when playing this baby, 'cause she'll take you for a great ride! This cello is excellent for solo playing, recitals and auditions. The following is its set-up.
