Description   SOLD! Garner Wilson Gold cello bow Gold fitted This bow is 77 gms with a 9 1/2" balance. it is light but strong and very nimble and precise. This bow plays amazing off-the-string and it feels like a substantial bow because of the wood's strength. I just couldn't believe the weight was only 77 grams I had to check it twice. It is very well balanced and responsive for the fastest string crossing and quick technical bowing. Garner is one of the top English makers of today. From apprenticeship with W. E. Hill and Sons in 1960 to the present day, Garner Wilson continues in the tradition of fine English bow making.  His vast knowledge and experience gained over the past 4 decades shows both in his new bows and in his skill as a restorer. He established his own shop in 1966. He is highly respected and his bows sought after. I myself play one of his bows and can't speak highly enough of this master bow maker. These are serious bows for serious players. The wood quality is top quality and his workmanship is honed from nearly 50 years of bowmaking experience.
