This is a wonderful upgrade for the serious student. This cello is back for a third time as a trade-up. I believe it is around 10-15 years old. All the young cellists who have owned this cello are local students here in Santa Barbara and all were very careful with this cello. It has returned in the same shape as it originally came to me. I really like these Gunter Von Aue cellos. They have a nice mat antique style varnish and are made from air dried quality European tonewoods.
This cello speaks easy, has excellent projection, depth and a nice bright tone.
Set up is:

Akustikus Tailpiece
New Harmony Carbon fiber endpin
Spirocores for the C, G and D strings
Evah Pirazzi for the A
Posture peg for the C (Original C peg provided)
Eastman model 80 Pernambuco bow (Octagonal)
