Description Measurements My Address   SOLD! G. A. Pfretzschner 4/4 cello, Markneukirchen Saxony, German circa 1890s Pre-loved approx 120 year old G A Pfretzschner. This old cello has a meaty, dark voice which is very well balanced and in an excellent state of repair. It has that classic, mature tone with loads of depth that comes only from a cello that has been around the block a few times. Stamps inside say G A Pfretzschner, Markneukirchen. I've looked over this cello and it has been in the hands of quite a few competent luthiers who have done an excellent job of restoring/repairing this cello. Nothing needs to be done to this cello except for a fresh set of strings which I will install before shipping out. This cello belongs to a cello teacher who has upgraded to an Italian cello. She has played this cello professionally for many years. This would be a great cello for a conservatory student or young professional who needs depth and complex color, but is on a tight budget. This cello was in  the Metzler shop with a $10,000 price tag so here's your chance to save.     .
