Instrument Rentals - Cellos, Violas & Violins

We provide high quality instruments for rent in our local area only. If you live within 60 miles of Santa Barbara, California, and have a credit card that can be automatically charged monthly, we will rent to you.

Violins and Violas - our standard rental is $40/month. These are nice instruments that should get any beginner off to a good start. This includes $5 insurance if anything were to happen to the instrument while in your care. Your player (child or adult) will be fitted for the proper size when they come in for your appointment. The rental will include a case and bow, and rosin, and some basic instrument and bow care coaching. We offer violins from 10th size up, depending on availability. It's best to contact us if you have a tiny player to make sure that we have the right size before you come in.

Premium Violin and Viola Rentals - step-up instruments are sometimes available for rent for $65/month. This depends on availability. Please contact us if you need a better instrument.

Cellos - our standard rental is $45/month. These are nice instruments that should get any beginner off to a good start. This includes $5 insurance if anything were to happen to the instrument while in your care. Your player (child or adult) will be fitted for the proper size when they come in for your appointment. The rental will include a case and bow, and rosin, and some basic instrument and bow care coaching. We offer cellos from 8th size up, depending on availability. It's best to contact us if you have a tiny player to make sure that we have the right size before you come in.

Premium Cello Rentals - step-up instruments are sometimes available for rent for $75/month. This depends on availability. Please contact us if you need a better instrument.

Accruing Credit - all rentals will accrued 75% of their rental fee as a credit towards eventual purchase of an instrument off our showroom floor. You are not renting to buy the instrument that you are renting; we prefer to keep these in the rental fleet. If you have questions about this policy, you are welcome to reach out to us. The amount accrued monthly for normal cello rental is $30, for violin or viola, it is $26.25. 

Short-term Professional Rentals - if you are a traveling pro who cannot bring your instrument for some reason, and need something nice for a gig or a short period, please use the form below to contact us and tell us what you need. We will do our best to support you.
