Description Measurements My Address   ON HOLD! Just Arrived! 4/4 Jean-Pierre Lupot,  Stradivari pattern, 2011 Model 501 The Lupot's tonal color is warm and round with plenty of resonance. They have an open, 'played in' sound, very even across the strings. The tone performs well passed its price point and would be well suited for the advanced player on a budget as a good technique can really tap into the richness available in this cello model. My daughter plays a Lupot as a back-up to her professional level cello. She keeps her Lupot at school and she is very satisfied with the depth and complexity of its tone. The string length matches her own cello's at 26 3/4".  The slightly shorter string length of the Lupot cellos makes them that much more comfortable to play. The varnish is deep, dark and rich with a well done distressed look, as if it is an old French or Italian cello. Its strong lush voice makes it truly rewarding to play! Cello is set up as follows: Wittner tailpiece French style Despiau bridge Larsen solo A and D Spirocore Tungsten G and C The finish is the old style antique finish with a dark red/brown color layered over an Amber honey ground. I'm amazed at the look and tone this cello has at such an affordable price.
